At Right Track Training Solutions we offer a variety of courses to improve your skills in Literacy, Numeracy and English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL). All Basic Skills Courses are FREE.
ESOL is taught at Pre Entry, Entry level One, Entry level Two, Entry level Three, and Level One. These courses are for those people whose first language is not English.
An initial assessment diagnostic test is conducted first, to determine the student's level and from the results, a learning programme is developed to tailor individual needs.
The elements in the programme will build up to improve Speaking and Listening skills, Reading, Writing, and general understanding of English laws and British culture.
Getting Started!
To get started with Basic Skills / ESOL you are welcome to attend on our open days Mondays and Tuesdays from 9:30am to 4pm, no appointments are required.
We will undertake a two hour Initial Assessment which will enable us to identify your training needs.
ESOL classes are run on Thursday and Fridays. Please contact us for further information.
The course exercises are designed to give good practical advice on everyday matters such as visiting a medical practice, how to make an appointment to see a doctor or dentist.
These practical exercises are taught in small groups thus giving the students the opportunity to participate in dialogue with each other in English.
At the end of the course they take an examination at their particular level, in Speaking and Listening, Reading, Writing, and then move forward to the next level on that programme.
Basic Skills Literacy and Numeracy at Entry level One, Entry level Two, Entry level Three, Level One and Level Two.
These courses are designed for people who wish to develop and improve their Literacy and Numeracy Skills to a nationally recognised standard. The first step is an initial assessment to determine the student's level and from the results of the test a learning programme is developed to tailor individual needs.
The elements in the programme will build up to improve and further develop the students Literacy and Numeracy skills to a national level. These courses are designed with adult learners in mind, using empathy and support to give the learner more confidence.
