Unlike many other Drivers CPC courses, at Right Track Training Solutions, we take pride in the fact that our Drivers CPC course has been devised by Drivers, for Drivers.
We deliver courses that are easy to understand in an industry related approach that drivers can easily connect with. This makes the training experience all the more enjoyable, benefiting your organisation by helping to enhance Driver efficiency and productivity.
The development team at Right Track Training Solutions all come from a background of Drivers, Transport Managers and varying other Transport Training Roles. Devised in combination with industry best practice procedures and time served experiences, Right Track Training Solutions are confident that our vast selection of Driver CPC subject matter is the right option for your operation and for your Drivers, ultimately the best judges will be the Drivers themselves.
The professional competence and occupational underpinning knowledge that your drivers will gain from this training, will ultimately reflect in their professional performance and the quality of service reflected onwards to your customers.
What is Driver CPC?
Driver CPC is being introduced across the European Union to maintain high driving standards and improve road safety. All professional bus, coach and lorry drivers, new and existing, must hold a Driver CPC if they want to drive for a living.
Who does Driver CPC Periodic Training apply to?
The Drivers CPC applies to all new and existing drivers who hold a vocational licence.
Module 1 – Drivers Theory Test
Module 2 – Drivers CPC Theory Test (includes 11 case studies)
Module 3 – Practical Driving Test
Module 4 – Drivers CPC Practical (to include Pre-operation vehicle checks)
Once the initial qualification has been passed, periodic training must then be completed.
How much training is needed?
All drivers will need to complete a minimum of 35 hours of periodic training every five years. The training will require attendance at courses but will not require drivers to take or pass further examinations.
When will it start?
What is periodic training?
Periodic training is continuing professional development for bus, coach and lorry drivers. It carries on throughout the professional driver’s career – no matter how infrequently they drive. The minimum length of a training course is 7 hours.
Where a course of 7 hours is split into two parts the second part must start within 24 hours of the completion of the first part. It is important that you allow yourself enough time to complete your training within the five year period. There is no advantage in delaying your periodic training.
The sooner you train, the sooner your knowledge and skills will be refreshed and updated, which will enhance your professionalism. Driver CPC requires you to complete a minimum of 35 hours of periodic training during every five year cycle for as long as you wish to continue driving professionally.

Get ready for the change....
HSE intends to introduce the changes to most first aid training courses from 1st October 2009, so employer duty holders will need to implement them from this date.
Employers will not be required to retrain all their first aiders as soon as the implementation date is reached. First aiders with a valid First Aid at Work certificate will only enter the new arrangements when their certificate expires. This means that it will take three years post implementation before all first aiders in the workplace are captured within the new training structure.
If you have any questions, please get in touch with us, and we will be happy to help!
